The Moroccan monarchy has just put an end to the myth of the king who protected the Jews during the Second World War against the Vichy Nazis.
Everyone knows that in Morocco, there is no government, no parliament, no parties, no associations, no authorities, no Islamists, no anti-normalization, etc., in the sense that a citizens of France or other European nations understands it. Still, everyone here is waiting for the “royal directives” to do anything.
If the construction of this memorial has been banned in honor of three million Moroccan Jews in Israel and others around the world, the decision can not be made without the direct approval from the Royal palace. If the Royal palace were to give its approval, no one would dare to oppose it.
The Royal palace is afraid of the return of the Moroccan Jews and not only the palace but also the Fassie and Sousse elite, for whom the Moroccan Jewish elite has left their place, against their own will, in Morocco since 1967.
The Jews are indigenous as much as the Amazighs and were there before the ruling Arabs who forbid their rights as citizens today on their own ancestral land.
