A young christian from the county of Tizi-Ouzou (Kabylia under Arab colonization) is summoned to present himself this Sunday, March 04, 2018 before the judge (court) in Tizi-Ouzou.
The young man is faithful to one of the churches of the city. His summons is a following of his arrest at the airport of Alger houari Boumediene where the security services had found some christian books in his possession. He was questioned for more than 8 hours the same day and was then released before a report was completed against him. It is not the first time that christians have been judged for their faith.
Recently, in the evening of March 1, 2018, the court of Tiaret postponed the verdict of a christian sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of 100 000 DA for carrying gospels, and being accused of disrupting a Muslim’s faith.
