A call for the gathering, Sunday, June 17 at 14:00 at the Parvis of Human Rights, Place du Trocadero in Paris, was published to invite all fellow Kabyle Diaspora, who love justice and freedom, to be present in huge numbers.

Since time immemorial, Kabylia is the continent of protest. When it is not corrupt, the Kabyle soul can not bear injustice and indignity. This is mainly in Kabylia that Firmus fought for years against the Roman colonialism. Sold by his own, Firmus committed suicide in the year 375, to not suffer the Roman humiliation.
Other colonialism attempted thereafter to submit Kabylia. Mission impossible, the Kabyle land is rebellious for eternity. The huge revolt of the extraordinary citizens’ movement in Kabylia the years 2001-2003 shows the gap that there is between Kabylia and the rest of Algeria: outside Kabylia, one prefer to walk to support Palestine, children who die in Kabylia, killed by Algerian gendarmes exploding bullets do not move anybody.
Not knowing hatred, Kabylia has continued to bear the atrocities of the Algerian regime. Not knowing hatred, Kabylia lived mourning alone tens of martyrs, in the dignity and the hope of a new era. An era of hope. But hope is hard to find in a country where all elections are rigged, where religiosity is spreading at a staggering speed, where all human values flicker, where corruption is a national sport, where there has never been a political change since “independence” of the country.
The enthusiasm with which some of Kabyle youth recently raised the Kabyle flag, here and there, comes to mean Kabylia’s fierce desire to exist outside of the Algerian dictatorship. The 35th anniversary of the Berber Spring sign a new deal in Kabylia: now many Kabyle expect nothing from the system in place. For once, they really know what they want. But more than ever, they will need vigilance facing a formidable opponent, a specialist in manipulation and violence.
But it will take the union of all Kabyle forces that can exist outside the system in place, in Kabylia or in the Kabyle diaspora, to curb the biggest stumbling block that stands before them: international geostrategy. Those who are really fighting for their Kabyle land have no hatred towards anyone; this is Taqvaylit (Kabylity), these Kabyle values consist of, among others, tolerance, secularism, social justice, democracy, generosity, solidarity, humanism and pure love.

DIASPORA (Siwel) – The Kabyle Provisional Government in exile chose the date of 10.03.2015, commemorating the thirty-fifth anniversary of the first protest march of Kabylia against the Algerian colonial power, to make public the official flag of Kabylia. Below is the statement of the Minister of Kabyle Institutions and the decree published in the Official Journal of the Anavad (Provisional Government of Kabylia)
Mas Ahmed Haddag, Institutions Minister This 10 of Mars 2015, the thirty-fifth anniversary of the first protest march of Kabylia against the Algerian colonial power, we are releasing the official flag of Kabylia. It will be valid until the election of a Kabyle constituent assembly that will decide endorsing or change. For now, it is set in stone. The great day of the Kabyle flag will happen. This will be the 04 of April 2015. The Kabyle people will rise up, for the first time in its history, its own flag in the sky of Kabylia and worldwide. This is an event that almost arrives only once in the life of a nation. Blessed are all those who will enjoy it. The project of the Kabyle national emblem was launched two years ago by the Anavad (Provisional Government of Kabylia).
By relaying on democracy to provide Kabylia with its official flag, a world premiere was realized. No people in the world has so far been consulted to choose their national colors. However, the model used by voters was not respecting international standards, a technical adjustment committee was established. The result is now up to all the hopes placed in this project. His aesthetic brilliantly brings its symbolic value of a free and sovereign Kabylia. The Anavad congratulates the Kabyle people. He recalled that he did not renounce to the federal Amazigh flag which peoples are attached to. Thus, Kabylia, like European countries, will wear with pride, two flags at a time, it’s own and one that connects to the allied nations.
On this occasion he calls everyone to attend the flag raising ceremony to be held in Kabylia on terms to be defined by the MAK (Movement for Self-Determination of Kabylia). A popular ceremony led by the President of the Anavad will take place in Paris, the fourth of April 2015 at 15h on the Republic Square. The Anavad called all of the Kabyle associations to join the event. He calls all Kabyles of France to attend. Organizations and politicians will also be invited.

The event date was chosen to celebrate as the day of the Kabyle nation (June 14). In front of a large crowd that the Kabyle flag was raised in Marseilles. The president of the Anavad, Ferhat Mehenni honored with his presence this historical event. In his speech, the President of GPK reminded that the march of June 14, 2001 has revived the Kabyle nation who are now demanding the right of its self-determination. He concluded by stressing: “Only a Kabyle state will save us from the forced Arabization, fanaticism and allow us to live in our Kabyle ancestral footprints of values of freedom, tolerance and secularism.” This rising of the national Kabyle flag which took in an atmosphere of joy and brotherhood is another success for the Anavad and is network.
