The AWC sends its most sincere condolences to the families of the innocent victims and to the Norwegian and Danish peoples and expresses their deepest sympathies. The AWC also wishes to express its total solidarity with the inhabitants of Imlil shocked and overwhelmed by this terrible tragedy.
We call on public opinion not to make amalgamation between the peaceful inhabitants of Atlas and their tolerant Amazigh culture, and followers of Islamist terror from elsewhere.
This horrific attack attributed to members of the radical Islamist nebula, means that Morocco remains plagued by Salafist ideology despite its imposing security apparatus and despite official speeches on the so-called “tolerant Moroccan Islam”. In Morocco, obscurantist Salafist ideology circulates freely in schools, universities, mosques and some media. At the same time, the educational system closes the door to diversity, falsifies the history of the country and draws its civilizational references from the motherland of Wahabism, Saudi Arabia. Under these conditions, it is logical that citizens face an “identity crisis” and become easy prey to Daesh. As a result, Morocco, like the other North African states, harvests and will continue to harvest for a long time the bitter fruits of their hypocrisy.
To get out of this impasse, the governments of Morocco and other North African countries must imperatively break with the Arabo-islamism and draw from the depths of the indigenous history of this region, the springs of their identity, while opting resolutely for the path of modernity and progress.
In any case, the states of North Africa but also their partners, especially European ones, are responsible for the dramas and the desolation that Islamist terrorists regularly provoke. It is therefore up to everyone to assume their responsibility and act sincerely and comprehensively against Islamism and its sponsors. The AWC also calls on democratic forces and civil society organizations on both sides of the Mediterranean to become more involved in the fight against this retrograde and mortifying ideology.

]]>But it will never work. It’s too late, too many recent major historical facts have forged a political, identity and cultural consciousness more than ever anchored in the Kabyle collective memory. Simple key words evoke these facts: Ait Ahmed, April 1980, Ait Menguellat, Haroun, Mammeri, Chaker, Saadi, the 1991 election, Ait Larbi, Boycott, schoolbag strike, Ferhat, Imazighen, League of human rights, Matoub, spring 2001, arouch, MAK ….. The Kabyle unconscious is already full, busy. No mental manipulation* can erase everything and replace it with other keywords. The seed of secession is well planted! The more the seed is showered with contempt, insults, hatred and blood, the more it blooms, grows and grows up.
The hatred against the Kabylians will not change the Kabylian people. It does not break them. It does not make them feel guilty. It does not complex them. It does not annihilate them. It only makes them stronger. It strengthens their faith in themselves.
Gradually, as the Kabyle cowards and traitors join the opposing camp, the situation settles down, the objectives become clearer, the cacophony fades, the parasites disappear and the actors on the public stage trust each other. By getting rid of all the bullets that generate, delay and hamper the Kabyle fight, Arab-Islamism and its regime is doing us a favor. It filters our own political scene and picks up our garbage. This makes the Kabyle people stronger.
Arab-Islamism must face the facts: Kabylia is neither arabizable, nor islamizable, nor assimilable, nor to sell, nor to seduce. The Kabyle fact is there for eternity. Arabo-Islamism must live with and deal with this.
Hating the Kabyle will not help. Attempting to arabicize Kabylia is useless. In any case, only a few exiles weakened, softened, exhausted and besieged in the Arab cities are becoming weaker with time, after 4 or 5 generations. Meanwhile, they are replaced fourfold by new births in Kabylie.
I have been working:
3 years in Laghouat
3 years in Constantine
5 years in Setif
1.5 years in Algiers
1 year in Oran
By rubbing shoulders with the “good Kabyle submissive”, I learned a lot about Algerian Arabs. My many postings have allowed me to discover that from east to west, from north to south, the hatred against the contumacious Kabyle is a national constant!
The Kabylian is distinguished, he is distinct from the Arab-Islamic. And he is distinguished by his mentality, his language, his culture, his general political opinion, his vision of the universe, his habitat, his eating habits. Even his stupidity is different from that of the rest of the country. If the bullshit of others is to mutilate each other, that of Kabyle is to try to save their enemies from their own bullshit. Only the Kabyle are able to do that!
* The mental manipulation is telling us: “Everyone is Amazigh, so let’s all be Arab Muslims”
]]>Several analysts have asked themselves this question about the non-use of “Arab” numerals by those who are supposed to have invented them. These became known to Europeans via the famous mathematician of Pisa, Leonardo Fibonacci in the 12th century. He found himself in a Kabyle city where he attended school. It was indeed here, at Bugia, that the young Fibonacci, whose father had a trading post in the city, had to learn mathematics at the feet of his then master, Sidi Omar.
Fibonacci, intelligent and quick-witted, immediately noticed a big difference between the digital symbols used in Bugia, and those used in Europe. In addition, there was another unknown symbol used by these Kabyle traders on the other side of the Mediterranean: the zero.
The discovery of this number would revolutionize all mathematical science, and would allow Fibonacci to become famous all over the world, especially because of the discovery he made by developing what are now known as the “Fibonacci Sequence”.
One of the peculiarities of these numbers, unlike those developed by Europeans and Hindus, lies in the meaning and accuracy of the angles contained within these symbols. The symbol of the number zero, being round, contains no angle. While that of the number “One” contains an angle, that of the “two” contains two angles and so on, up to the symbol of the number “nine”. The symbols were not chosen at random, but drawn by ingenious minds. This meaning is totally absent from other numbering systems.
However, to return to our interrogation, it is curious that the Arabs, who are supposed to have invented this system, did not keep it. They opted for another system, imposed by the Hindus, followed by the Persians before being adopted by the whole of the Middle East. The Hebrews and Greeks, for their part, chose to use alphabetic letters as their prefered numbering system. Moreover, there are apparently no old existing manuscripts containing these figures, which the European give paternity to the Arabs.
Abassid documents clearly include Hindu figures. The only traces of these figures called “Arab” are actually in North Africa, among the Berbers (Amazighs). And their discovery in Vgayeth(Bugia) is not fortuitous. It is more reasonable to say that these figures are actually of Kabyle origin than anything else.
After being adopted by Leonardo Fibonacci, these numerals had trouble settling in Europe, before they imposed themselves over time. But it would be the Church which would have imposed them officially, after the clergy’s noted their facility of use and their definitive installation in the very important commercial exchanges with North Africa.
By adopting them officially, they simply baptised them “Arabic numerals”. That’s how Kabyle numbers became arabized.
The Church, like many in those times, and until today, is purposely considering North Africa as Arabic. It is quite curious to see that the whole world uses the so-called Arabic numerals, except the Arabs themselves who have chosen Hindu figures. What is their origin, and why do not the Arabs use them?
What is the most curious aspect is that it is the Europeans who insist on claiming the numerals to be Arabic. There seems to be a real conspiracy against all that is Amazigh and particularly against Kabyle.
In order to survive this cold, we must start by eliminating the borders we have placed in our mentality. We must no longer believe in these “states”, which are worthless nonsense. These “states” exist only in our heads!
What is Moroccan, Algerian or Tunisian? Nothing. They are wind. Only pseudo states for potentates attached to their privileges. Worse; these “states” have borders drawn by successive settlers. We have to start thinking and thinking seriously about becoming ourselves again.
And yet, winter is the blessed season for the Amazighs .

]]>Message from Nadia At Uissa for the Amazigh Collective in France
I greet my Kurdish brothers and sisters
It is in the name of the Amazigh people, of the Kabyle people, that I come here to express to you my deepest solidarity, my support for your fight for freedom, a fair struggle, a struggle for humanity as a whole.
Today the international community shows ingratitude towards the Kurdish people by their silence. And the silence is revealing either of the covardness or the complicity in a crime against mankind. We Amazigh peoples and the Kabyle people in particular are attached to your struggle, in its universal values, peace that you carry. It is scandalous that those who yesterday had appealed to Kurdish forces not only to defend Syria or Iraq but all of humanity against these barbarians, these monsters of the deash. It is outrageous that today you are beeing accused of terrorism while terrorists are those who fight you, those who kill your children and your women. It is not the Kurds who are the terrorists, but Erdogan.
Erdogane the terrorist, Erdogane the criminal! He should be brought to justice for a crime against humanity, not the other way around.
I express my solidarity and remind that we too suffer the same injustice in Kabylia, Rif, Azawad, Mzab, we suffer the same practice and the same injustice. We will remain in solidarity with you. Yesterday I was Kobane, today I am Afrin.
The Arab-Muslim world is not a beduin affair, who has never had the opportunity to defeat even a chicken. Islam and the Arabs are a strictly European affair. A very good deal for them. This since the century of Charlemagne, A German , the true century of the gestation of Islam. It was the Franks, Vandals and Visigoths who, since the 4th century, destroyed the old Mediterranean world and wrote history in their own way, avoiding that the victims could have the opportunity to tell their version.
These Turkish monsters are armed by German weapons.
The Turkish army is using more German-made vehicles in their attack on Afrin than what the public is aware of. In addition to the Leopard tanks, the Turkish soldiers and gangs are using rifles manufactured by Heckler & Koch and Mercedes vehicles.
The Berlin administration is under pressure due to the German-made weapons and military vehicles used in the Turkish army’s attacks and massacres against Afrin. Most recently, the TV program Monitor broadcast on the state television ARD pointed out that the Turkish army has been equipped with German-made military equipment from head to toe.
The program titled “War against Kurds: Made in Germany” stated that the licensing rights to the rifles the Turkish soldiers and their gangs attacking Afrin are held by Germany’s prominent weapons manufacturer Heckler & Koch, and added that the firm has received approval from Germany to have the rifles manufactured in Turkey.
The program also stated that the military vehicles that transported the Turkish army tanks to the Afrin border were manufactured by German automotive giant Mercedes. It was also pointed out that the vehicles transporting Turkish soldiers for the Afrin attack are Mercedes’ Unimog model.
AFRIN BOMBED WITH GERMAN MADE ARTILLERY
The program stated that the German-made vehicles are not only these, and in addition to the Leopard II tanks, the M60 tanks the Turkish army uses are also running on motors manufactured by German automotive giants MTU and Renk, and that the artilleries used in the bombing of Afrin also have MTU motors installed.
The program also pointed out the gangs attacking Afrin along with the Turkish army, and stressed that Western countries deem some of these groups “terrorists” and that the groups have previously been acting together with ISIS. For instance, the Ahrar Al Sham organization supported by Turkey is identified as a terrorist organization by the German federal chief prosecution.

UNESCO, acronym for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is a specialized agency in the United Nations (UN), established November 16, 1945, to promote Education, Science and Culture among all the people in the world, each with its own language, heritage, habits and customs.
The fact that UNESCO’s headquarters are located in Paris, France, means that France has the opportunity to easily manipulate the institution. Espeacially regarding everything relating Kabylia, the Kabyle people and the Amazigh world in general.
According to the website for the “France 24” television channel, UNESCO is considering the inclusion of couscous as a part of the world heritage, as a “Maghrebin” dish rather than an Amazigh dish.
My friend Hélène E. Hagan, anthropologist, director of the Tazzla Institute for Cultural Diversity and producer of the Amazigh Film Festival in the United States of America, warned the UN institution that by doing this they are committing a major historical error, and an affront to the Amazigh populations of North Africa.
It is in this way that she (Masa Hélène E. Hagan) has just called on Ms. Audrey Azoulay, the director of UNESCO on the subject, in an official letter. As a reminder, Azoulay was the French Minister of Culture from 2016 to 2017. She was born in Paris to a Moroccan Jewish family from the Mugadu amazigh city (Essaouira), and she is the daughter of André Azoulay; a current adviser to King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
In her letter, Masa Hélène E. Hagan informed Audrey Azoulay of her dissatisfactions by stating that all the archaeological data reveals that the creation of couscous in North Africa precedes the arrival and installation of Arabs in the region.
Indeed couscous was a staple of the Amazigh population, for several millennials in the region from Libya to the Atlantic Ocean and covering Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. Hagan specifies in her letter, that the notion of “Maghreb” that the UNESCO organization intends to use to design this Amazigh dish, (according to the article of France 24) is of Arab origin. It is an Arabic word that has been stamped on the region, meaning “sunset country” in relation to an Arab orientation of the Middle East.
And further more:
“North Africa is the” Maghreb “only for these Arabs, not for the Amazigh indigenous people. Therefore, the couscous that existed in this region that the locals call “Tamazgha” can not be described as “Maghrebin” only out of ignorance and bad faith.”
Masa Hélène E. Hagan ends her letter by asking Mrs. Audrey Azoulay not to follow up on such an unfortunate idea by thanking her for not mystifying the story once more regarding the Amazigh heritage and culture of North Africa.

]]>Since the independence, we, the kabylians have been in the front line of all emancipating fights in Algeria. We have fought for human rights, the gender equality, the freedom of belief or the linguistic pluralism… the response of algerian government has always been violent with us. Yet, the worst is that we have never or hardly ever had the support and even the sympathy of other Algerians. These last have always considered us as completely different citizens. We verified this at our expense during what we call the black spring of 2001. More than 126 young kabylians were killed by the algerian armed forces. According to an official report all the victims were killed with explosive bullets, the shooters targeted the head or the rib cage, so, as per the same report the shooters aimed to fire and not to maintain order as some want to make it believed. The Algerians always disposed to support the Palestinian or any other Arab cause, showed no support for us the Kabylians.
The Kabylians, tired of the Algerian citizens apathy and mainly from the repetitive violence of algerian government, decided to take control of their destiny. In June 5th 2001 the Movement for the Autonomy of Kabylia was born and will claim status of a wide autonomy for Kabylia. After more than ten years of existence punctuated by peaceful actions in order to get the algerian government negotiates with Kabylians the terms of this project, we choose to internationalize the kabylian question. In 2010 the Provisional Government of Kabylia, led by Ferhat MEHENNI, was created in exile. In 2011the MAK convention chose to claim the self-determination of Kabylia.
My dear friends, this is, briefly, our history and our hopes. The kabylian question is, to summarize, the willingness of a people, several times millenary, to recover his freedom and his dignity.
It is important for us that the Norwegian people are interested in our sufferings. The experience showed to us that this people of peace and freedom have always helped all the world citizens who are in distress. We dare hope that the hand you hold out to us is the one which will lead us towards freedom. A good omen, it is on this May 17th, bicentenary of your constitution that I write you these few clumsy but sincere lines.

Why does the West continue to help despotic, apocalyptic Arab-Islamic sects to lock democracy, human secular freedom and individuals’ and peoples’ fundamental human rights behind the walls of the liberticidal, totalitarian and fossilized Islamic dogma?
The true liberation of tyrannized Amazigh North Africa lies in the ultimate restitution of its true Amazigh identity, the revival and promotion of its Amazigh languages, and the restoration and reconstruction of its democratic and secular ancestral civilization. Amazigh North Africa is more than fed up with the long-lasting tyrannical, terroristic and genocidal yoke of diabolical Arab-Islamism that has been stifling its existence and life by depriving it of its wealth, identity, memory, human freedom and its democratic secular culture for so long. Strongly incensed and outraged, the Native North African Amazigh peoples, with their legendary ancestral lands, spirits, and Gods, vigorously denounce the corrupt Western governments’ hypocrisy and duplicity.
What is good for Western peoples is also good for North African Amazigh peoples. What is harmful for Western peoples is also harmful for North African Amazigh peoples. What the Western world wants is what the Amazigh world wants. Secularism is the base for peace, democratic human freedom, creativity, happiness, and prosperity.
The West must fulfil its international humanistic and moral obligations by abolishing its support for the wicked, enslaving, genocidal Arab-Islamic tyranny—which wilfully destroys the existence and destiny of Amazigh North Africa with state-sponsored predatory monotheistic despotism, barbarism, multifaceted terrorism, anti-Amazighism, repression, forced Arabization, dead knowledge, annihilating acculturation, falsehood, ignorance, intolerance, hatred, racism, discrimination, injustice, indignity, pillage, corruption, abuse, underdevelopment, poverty, darkness, and despair.
The long-lasting, totalitarian, genocidal and outdated Arab-Islamic tyranny must be ended; otherwise, there will never be any true democracy or freedom in the Middle East, which is ethnically non-Arab, and Amazigh North Africa. The US, UK and France must urgently revise their foreign-policy mindset in the interest of true peace, true democracy, true freedom and true justice in these two important regions of the world. The tyrannized democratic and secular Native North African Amazigh peoples deserve to fully enjoy freedom, democracy, and all their individuals’ and peoples’ fundamental human rights, including the right to self-determination and independence !
It goes without saying that the despotic denial of peoples’ identity or existence is an act of terroristic mass annihilation that calls into question the humanity of mankind.
]]>DIASPORA (Siwel) – The Kabyle Provisional Government in exile chose the date of 10.03.2015, commemorating the thirty-fifth anniversary of the first protest march of Kabylia against the Algerian colonial power, to make public the official flag of Kabylia. Below is the statement of the Minister of Kabyle Institutions and the decree published in the Official Journal of the Anavad (Provisional Government of Kabylia)
Mas Ahmed Haddag, Institutions Minister This 10 of Mars 2015, the thirty-fifth anniversary of the first protest march of Kabylia against the Algerian colonial power, we are releasing the official flag of Kabylia. It will be valid until the election of a Kabyle constituent assembly that will decide endorsing or change. For now, it is set in stone. The great day of the Kabyle flag will happen. This will be the 04 of April 2015. The Kabyle people will rise up, for the first time in its history, its own flag in the sky of Kabylia and worldwide. This is an event that almost arrives only once in the life of a nation. Blessed are all those who will enjoy it. The project of the Kabyle national emblem was launched two years ago by the Anavad (Provisional Government of Kabylia).
By relaying on democracy to provide Kabylia with its official flag, a world premiere was realized. No people in the world has so far been consulted to choose their national colors. However, the model used by voters was not respecting international standards, a technical adjustment committee was established. The result is now up to all the hopes placed in this project. His aesthetic brilliantly brings its symbolic value of a free and sovereign Kabylia. The Anavad congratulates the Kabyle people. He recalled that he did not renounce to the federal Amazigh flag which peoples are attached to. Thus, Kabylia, like European countries, will wear with pride, two flags at a time, it’s own and one that connects to the allied nations.
On this occasion he calls everyone to attend the flag raising ceremony to be held in Kabylia on terms to be defined by the MAK (Movement for Self-Determination of Kabylia). A popular ceremony led by the President of the Anavad will take place in Paris, the fourth of April 2015 at 15h on the Republic Square. The Anavad called all of the Kabyle associations to join the event. He calls all Kabyles of France to attend. Organizations and politicians will also be invited.
Exile, 10/03/2015 Ahmed Haddag, Minister of Institutions Kabyle Provisional Government in exile
]]>The independence of Kabylia is underway in spite of all the repression of Algiers military regime, and all its conspiracies against the Kabylian resistant people.
This is the conclusion I keep further to the mobilization continuation of the Kabylian people directed by the MAK in the field, and to the actions of the Provisional Government of Kabylia, mainly the last events occurred in the Kabylian anger wave against the representatives of the murderer regime during the election campaign. This free people still resists in order to develop his own governance system which will be defined by the Kabyilans themselves without any foreign intervention.
He resists in spite of all the conspiracies practiced by the Algiers murderer government against his right. He moves forward in his approaches for the decolonization of Kabylia in spite of all the obstacles. In comparison with the other amazigh peoples of north Africa, the Kabylians went beyond the protest language, and started to make action instead of waiting the reactions on others actions.
However, some amazigh movements in Morocco who refuse till today the independence or the self-determination idea, unfortunately protect the political frontiers of the colonial states created by the colonial France in the middle of the last century further to the negotiations hold on the dead bodies of the liberation wars martyrs.
Those who keep these ideas, unfortunately use a slogan which has nothing to do with the reality : «the unity is strength », and forget at the same time that the unity cannot be with the murderer enemy, based on the frontiers drawn by the settlers in complicity with the traitors of the revolution who took the power. They forget that the unity which is strength cannot be under the arab muslim regimes which kill, starve, keep away, imprison, etc. the free amazigh. They forget the unity cannot be without national liberation projects of each Amazigh people of North Africa, without free and independent amazigh governments.
The decolonization of an amazigh country and the creation of an amazigh modern state will be in favor of all Tamazgha peoples and this will be a good liberation example that the other peoples can follow in order to free the other amazigh countries ; mainly in the context of the current political climate at international level.
Kabylia has always been the example for the amazigh struggle in the North Africa. Always ahead in comparison with others. So, can she create another example of an independent modern state, which will be the hope of all peoples of North Africa? Kabylia, Rif… and the other amazigh countries will then develop the Union of free Amazigh States in North Africa?
Note: Further to the last events that Kabylia lived, of which the Kabylian activists arrests. I express on my own behalf and on behalf of the Riffian Republican groups our unconditional solidarity with our Kabylian brothers.
